MANIFEST Announces New Bassist

March 22, 2009

Norwegian thrashers MANIFEST have announced the addition of bassist Johnny Wangberg (GRIFFIN, WATTAMEZZ) to the group's ranks. MANIFEST writes in a press release, "Kenneth Einarsen left the band in November 2008 and we have been working on finding a replacement for the last couple of months. It feels perfect to have Johnny in the band! He brings in years of experience from different bands and he's a great guy to work and hang out with."

Johnny made his live debut with MANIFEST on March 7 in the band's hometown of Trondheim. Fan-filmed video footage of the song "Swine" can be viewed below.

MANIFEST's most recent album, "Hedonism", came out in Norway on December 3, 2007 via Morningstar Records. The follow-up to 2005's "Half Past Violence" was recorded at Spiren Studio with producer Knut "Fug" Prytz. Audio samples from the CD are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Morningstar Records is a label based in Trondheim, Norway started by former members of SATYRICON, NECROPHAGIA, KEEP OF KALESSIN, CHTON, MANES and MAX MIDSUN.
